Programs

We are so happy to have you and your athlete join our gym! As your child enters any of our programs, you will be greeted with a wide variety of options. If your child is new to Wright’s Gymnastics, we would like to make this introduction transition as smooth as possible.

All of our Wright’s locations were designed especially for little ones, with the highest regard to safety, cleanliness, and FUN.

SWEET PEAS EDUCATIONAL GYMNASTICS

BOYS & GIRLS / Ages walking to Pre-Kindergarten
50 minute class

Sweet Peas is an educational gymnastics program designed to promote physical, social, and cognitive development in children 6 months to 6 years old. Early childhood provides important windows of developmental opportunity. Basic components of a child’s neural development are genetically coded, however, trillions of finer neural connections are unprogrammed, and they are heavily influenced by enriching early childhood experiences. Research shows that movement and sensory activities strengthen and bond synapses – the essential connections between neurons. Sweet Peas’ Educational Gymnastics curriculum helps forge the architecture of a child’s brain that will serve him or her for a lifetime.

Enjoy an opportunity to be active with your little gymnast! In our Wee Pea* classes, our coaches will guide you and your gymnast through creative, intentional circuits designed with social and physical development in mind.

*Adult participation may be required.

Wright's Fundamentals

SCHOOL AGE FUNDAMENTALS

BOYS & GIRLS / Grades Kindergarten through 12th
50 minute class

Our FUNdamentals School Age Gymnastics Program gives kids what every adult wishes they had – Coordination and Confidence.

Gymnasts will be introduced to specific events; vault, bars, beam, and floor. Each event hosts a variety of unique, as well as universal, sets of skill requirements for skill development. Every class begins with a warm-up and stretch, followed by three rotations of events. The events they visit will alternate each week to ensure they are exposed to adequate time on each event throughout a month. Once their skills are perfected, our gymnasts can advance from Level 1 all the way to Level 10.

TUMBLING

BOYS & GIRLS / Grades Kindergarten through 12th
50-80 minute class

Our Tumbling classes offer a wide range of tumbling abilities and styles. We will work to the athlete’s talents and preferences to achieve appropriate tumbling techniques and skills. From cartwheels to backflips and everything in between, our instructors will teach safe progressions to help develop the tumbling skills each athlete is interested in learning! These classes are individually focused as each athlete is in a different stage of their tumbling journey.

BOYS & GIRLS / Ages walking through 8th grade
50 minute class

**Uniform Required (available for purchase here)

Children learn a combination of flips, rolls, jumps, and kicks. Strength and agility are tested through obstacle courses and various training techniques.

A progressive level system evaluates and advances children in their skill and knowledge of core values as described in the NinjaZone creed. Children advance and learn at their own pace.

The levels of NinjaZone are identifiable by the headband and colored shirts with colors of White, Yellow, Green, Blue, and Purple. With the use of a rig and other Ninja specific equipment, coupled with gymnastics equipment, Ninjas will explore skills safely through progressions and practice. Class goals: Listening skills, confidence, trying new things, working through challenges, and etiquette carried inside and outside the gym.

WGA COMPETITIVE PROGRAMS
USA Gymnastics is the governing body of our sport. There are two competitive programs – Junior Olympic (J.O.) and XCEL.

XCEL COMPETITIVE TEAM

EVALUATION REQUIRED
Please contact us if you would like to schedule an evaluation.

The purpose of the Xcel Program is to present gymnasts the opportunity to participate in competition and/or provide former Junior Olympic competitive gymnasts the opportunity to continue competition without the intense time commitment. The goal of the Xcel Program at Wright’s Gymnastics is to challenge each and every athlete’s limits and abilities by providing enjoyable, yet challenging practices and competitions.

The Xcel program also allows for gymnasts who are exceeding (or progressing faster) in some areas such as Floor and Beam to continue to progress at this excelled pace, and be challenged in these events, but at the same time continue to work in the other events. The Xcel Gymnastics Program is sanctioned by USA Gymnastics as a separate program to their Junior Olympic Program. USA Gymnastics wanted to provide an alternative to the Junior Olympic Program (which requires a tremendous amount of time commitment) where gymnasts could continue their participation in gymnastics and have the opportunity to compete, yet with limited time commitment in the gym. There are currently 5 levels in the Xcel Program; Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond.

JUNIOR OLYMPIC COMPETITIVE TEAM

EVALUATION REQUIRED
Please contact us if you would like to schedule an evaluation.

The Junior (J.O.) Olympic Competitive Team is the program that leads to the high level of gymnastics that you likely watch on television. Most collegiate athletes and Olympic gymnasts were in the Junior Olympic system. Levels 1-5 are compulsory, with all gymnasts in each level competing the same routines. Level 6-10 is called Optionals, and has 6-8 skill requirements with individualized routines. The J.O. Program requires years of focus, commitment, and motivation to reach a child’s full potential. Training hours are between 4-20 hours per week, year round.

Wright's E-Learning Support

PRE K - 5TH GRADE
7:30 am - 5:30 pm

With schools delaying, transitioning learning online, or simply transforming into an environment that isn’t ideal for your child, we want to offer another option.

The Wright’s E-Learning Support program is designed to oversee self-guided virtual instruction while allowing children and families to create a “bubble” of friends within the community. We don’t want your child to dread virtual learning, instead embrace it, and look forward to talking, playing, and moving with friends! As parents ourselves, we know this is an incredibly difficult time for both parents and children and see the social, emotional, and physical toll the pandemic is taking. We hope to not only alleviate your stress, but bring joy to your child’s day. We are here to foster social interaction with peers, help facilitate time for virtual learning, and provide organized activities for your child.
