Camp Descriptions

Flip N’ Fun: Gymnastics & Ninja Camp
This week will be full of awesome ninja moves and gymnastics skills! Campers will be able to enhance their current skills and/or learn new skills in both ninja and gymnastics! This camp will help develop strength and flexibility as well and the many life lessons that can be learned through these two sports. On Friday, we will take all that we learned and have a real gymnastics meet and a ninja competition to show off our new skills!

Super Sleuth Detective Camp
Campers will have a blast becoming the detectives of Wright’s Mystery Inc. Campers will launch their crime-busting, crook-chasing talents using Fundamentals’ own “Mystery Mobile.” Our master campers are guaranteed to have a new adventure every day while trying to solve the biggest mystery of the summer – someone or something has dog-napped our friend Scruffy. It is up to us to bring him back!! We will solve daily clues in hopes of finding Scruffy. Go Scruffy Gang, go!

Deep Blue Sea: Pirate & Mermaid Camp
Ahoy ye pirates and mermaids! Join the Captain and his crew as we spend a week at sea. There will be hunts for sunken treasure, ship, and undersea castle building, sword fights, and lots of walking the plank. Bring your bathing suit, towel and a change of clothes because we will be splashing around in the sprinkler with the mermaids!

Junior Chef Cooking Camp
A pinch of this and a lot of that! Does your child like to spend time in the kitchen with you and help you cook? If so, this camp is perfect for them. They will spend the week learning how to make pretty amazing meals and treats with hands-on opportunities to cook. Foods may include main dishes, appetizers, and everyone’s favorite – desserts!

Nerf Ninja Warrior Camp
Artillery: CHECK…Ammunition: CHECK…Plan of Attack: CHECK!! All that is missing is you, ninja! Your child’s excitement will not be contained during our Nerf War extravaganza: featuring tactical training, team building games, target practice, and adventures through our geometric maze. We will provide some pretend artillery for use and pretend ammunition, but to enhance the fun please bring your favorite pretend artillery piece to camp.

SuperFLY Adventure Camp
Do you have a tiny superhero in the making? Campers will participate in activities that will require them to experience small-scale risk-taking and role-playing while working as a team. Along with discussions on what it means to be a hero, kids will get to design their own superhero logos, draw comics, celebrate Superman’s birthday…and of course, dress as their favorite superheroes!

Step Right Up: Three Ring Circus Camp
Ladies and gentlemen, step right up – the circus is waiting! Campers will experience all the exciting roles in a circus – from performer, to animal trainer, to ringleader – during this week under the big top. We’ll play carnival games, and even put on our own show at the end of the week!

Going for Gold: Olympic Games Camp
Are you ready for this global event? Well, get your game face on because we’re going for gold! Campers start this fun week by passing the torch and attending the opening ceremonies! From there, we’ll play a variety of different Olympic sports concluding the week with our own mini-competition and medals ceremony.

Community Heroes Camp
Does your child dream of helping others when they grow up? Now is their chance to explore the different roles of the heroes in our community through fun, hands-on activities. During this exciting camp, campers will discover what it’s like to be a real-life hero by exploring all the wonderful ways that they can use their own talents to help others.

Around the World
All aboard world travelers! This week we’ll take a trip around the world to discover and learn about some of the most exciting destinations. Campers will learn a little bit about each country and some of their traditions, languages they speak, the cuisine they enjoy, and sites visitors love to see. Around the World Camp is sure to be both a fun and educational experience.

Party in the USA
Who doesn’t love to go to parties? Each day is a different celebration or two! Come and rock out at your Un-birthday Slumber Party! How about a Valentine’s and St, Patrick’s Celebration? Who doesn’t love Fall Fun with a Halloween Spook-tacular? We can’t forget the happiest time of year with a Merry Little Christmas Bash. Finally, we will end the week loving the summertime with a Tropical Luau. It’s party time for every camper!

End of Summer Camp
Come join us for a 3-day celebration of summer before school starts! There is so much in store for the campers: crafts, games, cooking, outdoor play, and water games. With new things to explore each day, the possibilities are endless! Let’s send summer off Fundamentals style with loads of FUN!

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the hours of a typical camp day?
Our hours differ depending on which option you choose:
Full Day: 9:00AM – 3:30PM
Half Day: 9:00AM -12:30PM

How old must my camper be to participate in camp?
We ask that all campers be 3-13 years old. We require that all campers be potty trained and able to use the restroom independently.

What kind of activities could my camper participate in on a daily basis?
Various gymnastics circuits, NinjaZone, crafts, group activities, water games, and more. Your child does not have to be an experienced ninja or gymnast to participate.

What should my camper bring and wear with them to camp?
For the optimal experience, we suggest wearing comfortable clothing that is easy to move around in, and a change of clothes, just in case. Please label all of your child’s belongings, including any bags they may bring in.

Daily camp needs:

  • Please apply sunscreen prior to arriving for camp each day
  • Refillable water bottle (pre-filled)
  • Nut-free, packed sack lunch (even if registered for half-day!)
  • Hand sanitizer
  • Mask

On days with water themes, please send your camper with:

  • Flip flops or slides
  • A change of clothes (including unmentionables!)
  • A clean towel
  • Swimsuit

‍Who do I notify in case of emergency?
Please call or text us at 317-888-4805, where you will be connected to our Wright’s Central Office team. They will be able to assist you from there.

Is aftercare available?
Yes, we offer aftercare daily during camp from 3:30-5:30pm. The cost is $10 per child, per day. Should you need last minute aftercare, your card on file will be charged.

Are snacks offered during camp?
We will have snack time once in the morning and once in the afternoon. If you worry that your child may have specific snack needs or tastes, please send them with their own snack and be sure our staff is aware ahead of time that they have their own snack. Snacks will always be nut-free.

How do I notify you that my camper has special dietary or health needs?
There is a question that asks for any special accommodations on the camp registration form -please indicate that information there, and be as specific as possible.  For the safety of your child, please let us know of any allergies. Our camp staff will securely store any needed medication, such as EpiPens, rescue inhalers, etc.

How do you determine the group my camper is placed in?
We place all of the campers in groups based on their age. Our groups are based on a safe coach-to-camper ratio. At this time our camper-to-coach ratio is smaller to accommodate social distancing. Our goal is to offer the best experience possible for each individual camper. If you have children who are siblings and you prefer they are placed in the same group, please notify camp staff upon registration, and they will do their best to accommodate.

When does my registration need to be completed?
In order to staff enough coaches for a given day, registration is recommended a week in advance. Camp fees are due at the time of registration. If you need to miss camp due to illness, please contact us as soon as possible so we are able to make special accommodations.

If you have any additional questions that were not answered on this FAQ, please feel free to call or text us directly at 317-888-4805.
